Join us for an unforgettable guided hike to the summit of Lugnaquilla (Irish: Log na Coille, meaning “Hollow of the Wood”) – the highest mountain in Ireland outside of Kerry, standing at 925m (3,035 ft).
Route Overview
We begin through peaceful forestry trails, making our way into the scenic Fraughan Rock Glen. From here, we follow the side of a waterfall before climbing onto the open mountainside.
On the final push to the summit, the Glen of Imaal Army Range will be to our right.
At Lugnaquilla’s summit, we’ll pause for lunch (weather permitting) while enjoying 360° views across the Wicklow Mountains.
Our descent takes us across to Cloghernagh summit (800m) before dropping down to the beautiful Arts Lough and returning via forest trails.
