Croaghanmoira Mountain Guided Hike

Croaghanmoira (Irish: Cruachán Mhaigh Rath, meaning ‘little stack of Moira’) at 664 metres (2,178 ft).  Croaghanmoira is situated in the far south-east corner of the Wicklow Mountains range, and sits on its own small massif with several other lesser but well known peaks, separated from the nearby larger massif of Lugnaquilla.

The summit of Croaghanmoira has a distinctive “pyramidal” profile..

Grade Moderate

This Guided Hike will take in sections of the Wicklow Way other trails & open hillside. With stunning views on a good day.

What you need to bring
hiking boots, waterproof gear, Hat gloves, warm hiking clothing, lunch snacks water,
any medication you may need.

Lugnaquilla Mountain & Cloghernagh Mountain

Join us on our Guided Hike of Lugnaquilla Mountain & Cloghernagh Mountain.

Lugnaquilla (Irish: Log na Coille, meaning “hollow of the wood”), at 925 metres (3,035 ft)

Meeting point: Baravore Carpark, Glenmalure Co Wicklow starting at 10am sharp. Location sent on booking.

Leaving the car park we’ll make our way up through foresty trails leading up to the scenic Fraughan Rock Glen and head up along beside the waterfall to open mountain as we make our way for the Summit of Lugnaquilla at 925 meters. Glen of Imaal Army Firing Range will be to our right. On the clear day views are stunning, we’ll take lunch here at the summit weather permitting. Leaving lugnaquilla summit we will make our way across to Cloghernagh Summit at a height of 800 metres, then descend to Arts Lough and on to forest trails with a short road walk back to the car park.

Terrain. Trails & open mountain.
Grade Hard hike

Full mountain gear is required.

Guided Lugnaquilla Sunset Hike

Our aim is to reach the summit of Lugnaquilla for the sunset. Returning as the darkness creeps in.

Starting at Drumgoff Carpark Glenmalure
Location sent on Booking.
Starting time 6pm.

Leaving the car park we’ll make our way on forest trails until we reach the open mountains, taking in Carrickwaystick Mountain on route to Lugnaquilla Summit. A short break at the Summit to take in the Sunset. (Weather permitting of course)
We will return in the darkness so the Head torch is essential for this hike.

Distance – 17km
Terrain – Open Mountain & Trails
Grade – Hard / Strenuous.

Limited to 12 places Only.

Good Hiking boots, weather proof gear, head torch, spare batteries, Food Snacks water, Hat gloves, Hiking clothing. Any medication you may need.
