  • Aloha, My friend and I traveled 2 Ireland to hike The Wicklow Way a few months ago. It was a bucket list trip 4 me! We stayed at The Loughdan House with Sean and Theresa. I had planned 4 us 2 to hike South to North in 8 days. We were to have a guide . We met Damien Kennedy on our 1st day. He led us on 6 of the 8 days through The Wicklow Way.   • Highly recommend this guided walk, Glendalough is a beautiful area.. The guide considered the different abilities of the group. Kept spirits high in the mist rain and was very informative of the area.. good craic had by all. Altogether a great experience.

Mullacor & Derrybawn Ridge Hike

Join us on our Mullacor & Derrybawn Ridge Hike.

Meeting Point.
Glendalough Visitors Centre. 10:30 am

From here we’ll take Wicklow way trail and make our way up by Poulanass Waterfall and continue on for Mullacor Mountain for great views from the summit.  Mullacor (Irish: Mullaigh Mhór, meaning “Big hilltop”)
We’ll drop down from here and make our way for the Derrybawn Ridge with more great views looking down in to Glendalough.  At this point we will take forest trail on our way back to Glendalough.

Distance approx 17km.
Moderate Hike.
Trails & Open Mountain.

Scarr Mountain Guided Hike @ Meet at Glendalough Visitors Centre

Join us on this fantastic Summer
Guided Hike.

Meeting Point Glendalough visitors centre.
Starting 10am / Finishing 4:30 pm

Fantastic hike of Scarr Mountain starting in Glendalough & making our way on the senic Wicklow way trail through forest trails to Paddock Hill. We will leave the Wicklow way at this point. And make our way for Scar Mountain and on to the summit which is (641m). We’ll have lunch here with fantastic views. After lunch lunch we’ll start to make our way Kanturk Mountain with views of luggala estate & loughdan lake. Many scene’s from The Vikings TV series shot in these area.
We’ll make our down from Kanturk and finish our hike in loughdan. Where we’ll be transferred by bus back to Glendalough.

If you haven’t experienced a night hike why not Join us on our adventurous Night Hike of Lugnaquilla.
Starting 6.30 pm Finish 12:30 am

Meeting Point Glenmalure Lodge Pub At 6.30pm

From here we will drive to our starting point. We will take the Zigzag Trail to Cloghernagh Summit (800m) and make our way across to Lugnaquilla Summit (925m) while the darkness is creeping in. We will return on the same route.

lugduff & Spinc Guided Hike

Our Summer Hike of Lugduff & Spinc
We will meet at Glendalough Visitors Centre at 10.30 am

From here we will take a section of the Wicklow Way to the Polunass Waterfall .
The name Poulunass is taken from the Irish ‘Poll an Eas‘ which means ‘hole of the waterfall’.
Continuing on the Wicklow Way from here on our way to Lugduff.  At Lugduff Summit there are great views of both sides of the valley. From here we will make our way down to the Spinc Trail and continue on forest trails on our return to Glendalough.

Brockagh Mountain Guided Day Hike
Aug 10 @ 10:30 am – 3:30 pm

Meet at Glendalough Visitor Centre at 10:30 am

We will make our way to the scenic Wicklow Way Trail from here. Then head for Brockagh Mountain. We will  pass over the 2 summits on Brockagh Mountain with fantastic views from both summits. From the second summit we will drop down to St Kevins Way Trail where the old mining works is and make our way back to Glendalough.

The hike is approx 15km / finish aprox 15.00 pm

Route may change in a event of bad weather.

What to bring.

Hiking gear, waterproof gear, hiking boots, hat gloves, extra layers, food, water. snacks and  flask.
Gaiters/hiking poles optional.

This hike is €20 per person. And limited to 10 places.
